    Description

    The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off in the tournament are Corporal Victor Driscoll and Morris Carona. Corporal Driscoll, of Fort Brown, is lying on the mat with his head pillowed on the foot of his opponent. He was knocked to the floor five times during the bout, but wouldn't stay down. Carona, of Beaumont, Texas, is standing over Driscoll. Carona went on to win the match. A referee is standing behind them in the ring.
