Description
At the United Service Organization (U. S. O.) dance at Hotel Texas, young women will each remove one shoe and drop it in a stack. Each soldier will find their dance partner by picking out a slipper from the pile and searching for his "Cinderella." Demonstrating are Jean Hoera (left), Leslie Ann Ligon, Private H. R. Zeitner, (kneeling) and Private L. G. Carroll. Private Zeitner and Private Carroll are helping Miss Hoera and Miss Ligon take off their shoes and add them to a pile. The men are wearing their military uniforms. They were both en route to Camp Wolters for preliminary training before going into a parachute battalion at Fort Benning, Georgia. Miss Hoera is wearing a collared blouse, a blazer and a skirt. Miss Ligon is wearing a sweater and a pleated skirt.
