Mrs. Joe Petta (center) shown with two daughters she honored at a joint birthday party for the benefit of the Red Cross 24 years prior, and two grandchildren who were present when she repeated the idea on February 9, 1942, at her home, honoring the granddaughter. Left to right, they are Mrs. Magdalen Petta Lovette, Gay Lovette, 7, Mrs. Joe Petta, Marion Isham Junior, 3, and Mrs. Marion Isham (the former Miss Ruth Petta). The family is standing behind a dinner table that is decorated with a tablecloth, a cake, and small American flags scattered about. Gay is wearing a long, light dress and Marion is dressed in a military-style costume. Mrs. Petta and her daughters are wearing blouses and skirts. Behind them is a door (left) and a cabinet with glassware displayed on it (right). Everyone is smiling.
