    Image shows Lieutenant Cleland E. Early is a Texas Christian University graduate and a Marine recruiter. This twenty-two year old West Texan from Stinnett attended a six-month officers' training school in Quantico, Virginia with 359 other young men. Lieutenant Early is returning to TCU to recruit other students into the program. Kyle Gillespie, left, is handing an application to Lieutenant Early for a commission in the United States Marine Reserves. Gillespie is the star quarterback on the Texas Christian University football team. He is wearing a button-up shirt and trousers.
