Because of its centrally located position in the Wasson pool of southern Yoakum and northwestern Gaines county, many companies have opened branch stores in Denver City, Located in southern Yoakum, the city is centrally located to the pools to the north in Cochran and Hockley Counties. Photo shows of the Shell Oil Company's tankards for their oil product. In the background the towers can be seen. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 5, 1940.
