Description
He boots a job to boot the Japanese. Rehearsing the role he will assume next week as an enlisted Marine reserve, R.R. Janis of Galveston, shoe salesman here for the annual convention of the Southwestern Shoe Travelers Association, demonstrated Saturday to Hilda Connolly of Fort Worth that he at least has the "shoe situation well in hand." R. R. Janik of Galveston, Texas, is shown trying shoes on Hilda Connolly of Fort Worth, Texas. Connolly is sitting in a chair while Mr. Janik squats beside her holding a shoe. Behind them, display cases are filled with pairs of shoes. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition January 11, 1942.
