Description
Here is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman H. Smith who were found dead from asphyxiation Wednesday morning. The room toward the center left of the photograph is where the bodies were found. Mrs. Smith was a school teacher in Maypearl before her marriage in August. The small one-story home a porch, two big windows next to the entry, some landscaping along the periphery, and several more windows on its right side. No other houses can be seen, only leafless shrubs and electricity lines. There is a dusting of snow just in front of the house. Two men in long coats, perhaps detectives, are standing on the porch of the house. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 8, 1942.
