    Description

Typical of the New West is the Cowgirl. She has earned a place on practically all the ranches. This is an unidentified Cowgirl pictured astride her horse. She has taken part in activities of the range and in sports in recent recent years. She is but one of many girls whose parents long have been identified with the cattle business in the Southwest. These girls spend most of their time practicing horsemanship, roping, and other events popular in the modern rodeo. All social leaders in their respective communities. One of the features of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show Rodeo which opens this week in Fort Worth, Texas will be the Cowgirls, representing well-known families of the Southwest.
