Description
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Chapman and daughter, Sue. "'Now you won't forget how to write a telegram," laughed Mr. and Mrs. Howard Chapman as they 'spanked' their 21-year-old daughter, Miss Sue Chapman, for causing them to spend a sleepless night and report her as missing to Fort Worth, Tarrant County and State authorities. Sue is bending over the lap of her father as his left hand, holding a calendar is held up high to hit her bottom. Mrs. Chapman is standing behind with a rolled paper calendar mimicking the same action. Sue has obviously a smile on her face. The Chapman home and ranch is on Spring Creek near Sanger. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, January 6, 1942.
