Description
Sam Rayburn, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, visited his hometown of Bonham, Texas, during a brief furlough. Shown here is a large clam shell that is being used as a bird bath in the backyard of the Rayburn home. The clam shell is placed on top of a stool and is partially filled with snow. Behind the bird bath are several trees. This clam shell was given to Sam Rayburn by a friend in the Philippines.
