    Description

The churches can help promote this Nation's good neighbor policy with Central American countries by intensifying their missionary activities in those lands, Reverend James V. Reid said here Monday. The missionary evangelist has just returned from a six-week speaking tour of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, during which he discussed the need of immediate expansion of missionary work in Central America to tie in with the Government's program. Nine churches and colleges sponsored the tour. Reid, who lives at 2912 Meadowbrook Drive, has made eight missionary evangelistic trips into the Latin American countries studying missionary needs and possibilities, and, after returning, has used color motion pictures to present the work to the churches of this Nation. Mrs. Reid accompanied him on his tri-state tour. Reverend Reid is wearing a suit and tie with spectacles. He is facing slightly toward his right and looking off into the distance. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 5, 1942.
