Description
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are preparing for the Orange Bowl on January 1, 1942 against the Georgia Bulldogs. Halfback Kyle Gillespie is recovering from a right ankle fracture he suffered in October. Trainer Albert Smith is shown taping Gillespie's ankle before practice. According to both player and trainer, the ankle is "as sound as ever". Mr. Smith is dressed in a cowboy hat, button-up shirt, necktie, letterman jacket, and trousers. Gillespie is wearing a t-shirt and football pants. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 16, 1941.
