Bruce Alford is a young end on the Texas Christian University football team. Although only twenty years-old, he has displayed leadership qualities. The all-conference end is one of the Frogs new captains for the 1942 season. Alford is shown working at a filling station where he fixes automobiles. He is leaning underneath the hood, dressed in a collared shirt, trousers and a leather jacket. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 10, 1941.
