Description
The sale of defense bonds and stamps fits in well with the Parade of Progress exhibition at the Centennial Grounds. Stopping at the defense bus to buy stamps, left to right, are siblings Jackie, Charles, and Bonny Jo Drinkard. On the bus are Mrs. Lipscomb Norvell, left, and Mrs. Bert K. Smith. Jackie is dressed in a button-up shirt, jacket, and trousers. Charles is wearing a jacket and trousers. Bonny Jo is dressed in a knit hat, plaid coat, and trousers. Mrs. Norvell is dressed in a hat, gloves, and a plaid coat. Mrs. Smith is wearing a hat, gloves, and a fur coat.
