Description

The Texas Christian University Football team is holding their Athletic Council Annual Dinner at the Fort Worth Club. Pictured left to right are Bill Crawford receiving from the donor, Dan D. Rogers. Crawford is a senior Frog and the team captain. He is the recipient of the Rogers Award, which annually goes to the player named by coaches and Fort Worth sports writers as the "most valuable" on the T. C. U. team. Crawford is dressed in a suit. The donor, Mr. Rogers is wearing a double breasted pinstripe suit. Sitting in the background is T. C. U. president Dr. M. E. Sadler. The Frogs have one game left this season, the 1942 Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 9, 1941.
