Description
Residents of Keller turned fire fighters Friday afternoon when a grass fire started a blaze that destroyed a lumber yard, beauty shop, and hardware store. While they waited for a water hose to be brought over from Roanoke, Texas, seven miles away, the volunteer firemen removed merchandise from the hardware store. The flames are smoldering on the lots where the building used to stand. Residents are watching helplessly across the street in front of Byrd Drug Store and a gas station. Automobiles are parked along the street and the water tower is in the distance.
