Description
These United Service Organization (U. S. O.) workers extended an invitation to the Leonard Brothers Department Store Santa Claus statue to attend the December 13 dance in the ballroom of Hotel Texas for soldiers in nearby camps. Miss Virginia Farrell is kneeling in front of the Santa Claus. She is wearing a blazer and matching skirt. The other girls, left to right, are Misses Martha Sharp, Marcia Mills and Adelle Whitfill. Miss Sharp is wearing a dark colored dress and is passing a folded piece of paper to Miss Whitfill. Miss Mills is wearing a dress with a pleated skirt and a hat. Miss Whitfill is wearing a dress with two parallel columns of buttons down the bodice. On the floor beside the Santa is a toy bear.
