Description
Miss Fanny Brock, handing earphones to A. C. Farmer, superintendent of Western Union. Miss Brock is shown handing over her earphones in exchange for a 25 dollar defense bond after completing 40 years as a phone operator. Thirty of those 40 years of service were spent at Western Union. Miss Brock appears to be smiling as she receives her bond. Mr. Farmer is wearing a dark, striped suit and Miss Brock is wearing a dotted, buttoned dress. Both are also wearing eyeglasses. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1941.
