Description

The Texas Christian University football team is hosting the visiting Southern Methodist University at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. T. C. U. yell leaders, left to right are Miss Virginia Williams, Jo Thompson, and Miss Martha Mellow. In the first half, Mr. Thompson was named the hero of the east stands. He caught a long out-of-bounds punt by Kyle Gillespie. The catch evoked a burst of applause from the stands. Miss Williams and Miss Mellow are wearing collared blouses, T. C. U. jackets, and skirts. The trio is standing in front of the grandstands. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1941.
