    D. D. Barron is the first mayor of River Oaks Village. The Aldermen of the new River Oaks Village will hold their first official meeting on December 1st in the home of the new mayor to outline policies and discuss plans for ordinances. The village charter is expected to be ready and that the oaths will be administered to the officers. Votes of the recent incorporation election were canvassed by Commissioners Court last week. Mr. Barron is shown standing in front of an empty wall wearing a dark, double-breasted suit and a small flower pinned onto the lapel of his suit. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1941.
