    Description

    Dan F. O'Brien (right), 75, conductor for the Santa Fe passenger train, shown receiving gifts from John McCarthy, general yardmaster, for his retirement. The two men are shown standing beside each other, smiling widely. Mr. McCarthy is wearing a brimmed hat, a long, dark coat and a suit underneath. Mr. O'Brien is wearing his conductor's uniform complete with a conductor's hat and jacket embellished with two stars on his sleeve. He is also wearing a pair of eyeglasses. Behind the duo is a brick wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 28, 1941.
