Grapevine celebrated a back-to-the-land movement Wednesday night with a fellowship dinner for all the city folks from Fort Worth and Dallas who have bought farms near by. In this picture is Wingate Lucas, assistant district attorney at Fort Worth, Texas, he is introducing a newcomer Mrs. J. Glen Turner of Dallas, Texas, (left) to Mrs. J. E. M. Yates of Grapevine, Texas. Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Yates are shown sitting at a dinner table with Mr. Wingate standing behind them. The trio appear to be having a conversation with each other as they eat their food. Mrs. Turner is wearing a dark dress with a leaf brooch pinned on it and a small hat. Mrs. Yates is wearing is wearing a coat and a hat as well. Both are turned towards Mr. Wingate who is wearing a textured suit. On the table, there are two large plates of food set in front of the ladies, as well as some drinking glasses. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 27, 1941.
