Description
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting Rice University Owls at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. Rice back Dick Dwelle is shown slicing through the middle of the Frog line, bouncing Texas Christian University (T. C. U.) tacklers off his hips. Frogs in pursuit are Bob McCollum (number 38), Billy Blackstone (number 50), and Van Hall (number 22). Dwelle's sixteen yard play ended at the brink of the goal-line when he fumbled. The ball was recovered by Frog Dean Bagley (44) on the one-yard line. Three plays later, the Frogs safely punted out of the end zone. The referee is standing near the players. The game ended in a scoreless deadlock. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 24, 1941.
