The Lighthouse for the Blind received a check for $970.79 as the proceeds from a benefit world championship blind golfers' match at Rockwood Course. The match was between Marvin Shannon of Fort Worth, Texas and Clinton F. Russell of Duluth, Minnesota. H. C. Burke Junior (center), treasurer of the civic committee which promoted the match, is presenting the check to Mrs. Floyd Sweet, treasurer of the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Association for the Blind while Theodore Mack, association councilor, looks on. Both men are wearing suits and ties. Mrs. Sweet is wearing a dark dress and hat. This photograph was published in the November 24, 1941 evening edition of the Star-Telegram.
