Description

Clyde "Rabbit" McDowell, right, signing a contract with the Fort Worth Cats as Cats' Manager Rogers Hornsby looks on. Mr. McDowell is sitting at a desk while Mr. Hornsby stands beside him. Hornsby has one hand on the desk and his other hand on the back of McDowell's chair. The men are looking at each other and smiling. Both are wearing dark suits. On the desk there is small glass ash tray and another small glass container next to McDowell's hand. Behind them is a wall with a striped wallpaper. The contract was in regard to McDowell's appointment as team captain.
