Description
A. Frank Jones shown with partly burned check and letter. Image appeared in "Brief Bits of News About Fort Worth," Star-Telegram Morning Edition November 7, 1941. From out of the charred and twisted rubble that was once a 21-passenger plane came a grim reminder Monday of the October 31 crash on an Ontario farm of a transcontinental airliner. A Frank Jones found on his desk a letter and check, partially burned, which was part of the mail cargo on the ship, in which 20 passengers lost their lives. The check was marked from the Buffalo NY headquarters of the gypsum company Jones represents here.
