The West Texas Chamber of Commerce (W. T. C. C.) is holding their fall convention in Midland, Texas. Campaigning for a chance to host the 1942 convention, left to right, are Annette Tucker, A. B. Slagle, and Janette Tucker. The Tucker twins are students at Baylor University and are making a bid for Waco, Texas. The girls are wearing cowboy hats, satin blouses, and skirts. Annette is playing a dobro while Janette is playing the guitar. Mr. Slagle is representing the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. Not wanting to compete with Waco, he placed a bid for the 1943 convention. He is dressed in a double breasted pinstripe suit.
