Visiting with Fort Worth brides. Their hobbies, recreation, duties. Mrs. Carl Gibbe, is finding out when one is a bride, there’s so much to learn about organizing the household tasks, cooking and being a “little housewife†that it keeps a girl plenty busy, Mrs. Carl Gibbe, is finding out. Dr. and Mrs. Gibbe, married here October 4, are established in an apartment after a trip to Mexico. In this photograph Mrs. Gibbe is shown curled up on a sofa reading a cook book in order to make out some menus. She appears to be biting down on a pencil she holds with her other hand. Mrs. Gibbes is wearing a dark dress with a patterned apron on top. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition November 30, 1941.
