Description
The Texas Christian University football team is preparing for a rivalry game against the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas. Discussing the game plan, left to right, are Emery Nix and Billy Blackstone. Nix is a sophomore passing star. In 1938 he skippered his Corpus Christi High School team to a state title. Blackstone is the star junior center. His is holding a ball and giving advice for Nix to "Take this thing and pitch it". Both players are dressed in t-shirts and trousers. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, October 13, 1941.
