Description
L. S. White, Pastor of Vickery Boulevard Church of Christ. Image appeared in "In New Pulpit: L.S. White Will Return to City," Star-Telegram Evening Edition, November 1, 1941. Veteran preacher who in 1912 conducted the first union revival ever staged by the Churches of Christ in Fort Worth, will return Sunday to begin his new duties as minister of the Vickery Boulevard Church of Christ with the launching of an eight-day evangelistic meeting. Oldtimers still recall the 1912 meeting, which was held in a tent pitched on the present Seventh Street side of the Worth Theater. The tent, which seated 1200, was crowded each night.
