Description
American delegates embarked on a 28,000 mile around the world trip. The Harriman Mission to Russia is the first world tour since the war began in Europe. Members of the mission, left to right, standing, are Edward Page, Doctor George K. Strode, and Earl Petty. Seated is Major A. L. Harvey. Mr. Page works at the Russian Desk of the State Department in Washington, D. C. He is dressed in a pinstripe suit. Dr. Strode is with the Red Cross. He is wearing a tweed suit. Mr. Petty is the director of refining, Middle West district. He is dressed in a double breasted suit with a pocket square. Major Harvey is the pilot of the plane that took them around the world. He is dressed in a military uniform. The men are reading a copy of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, detailing their trip. They are stopping in Fort Worth, Texas, on their way home to D. C.
