Description
On a slope at the west edge of Sycamore Park, long rows of "winterized" tents -- canvas-covered wooden frames, have been erected for the soldiers' recreation camp being established here. The camp will accommodate 500 soldiers. Shown, left to right, Sergeant J. P. Gregory and Private F. R. Griggs at attention as Sergeant Gregory is inspecting his handgun. Private Griggs is wearing a holster and has a clip in the waist band of his trousers. In the background, two erected canvas tents and a stacked pile of timber can be seen.
