Clipping reads "Blacksmith Shop and Blockhouse at Frontier Show. The blacksmith shop played an important role in the life of early frontier villages, and a replica of one of those places of business and gossip will have a prominent place on the Fort Worth Frontier Centennial village street...[Pictured] is one of the rustic blockhouses and stockages which are being constructed at either side of the main entrance to the Centennial frontier village street. A pile of the specially treated timbers used in the blockhouse construction is in the foreground." Workers are pictured assembling large wooden logs across the roof of the building.
