Description
Amon Carter throws out first ball from stands at the football game between Washington Redskins and New York Giants in Washington, D. C., on "Texas Day." Clipping reads: "It was 'Texas Day' in Washington, D. C. when the Redskins met the New York Giants in a game of professional football on October 9, 1938. In pregame ceremonies, the Red Cross drive in Washington was helped along. Mr. Amon G. Carter of Fort Worth is seen throwing out the first ball from the second deck box to start the game.
