Azle High School basketball team members are (from left) Wesley Gilley (Number 2), Ray Gilley (Number 6), Holbert Thompson (Number 9), Pete Williams (Number 4), Thomas Ritchey (Number 1), Coach A.V. Isbell, Jack Brannon (Number 3), Robert Bradford (Number 5), W. L. Nelson (Number 8), Allen Carter (Number 7), Sparkey Gilley (Number 10) and Robert Franks in front. The Group is posing in a gymnasium and in front of a bank of windows and a basketball hoop. All team members are wearing their basketball uniforms. Coach Isbell is wearing a dark double-breasted suit and tie. Assistant Robert Franks is wearing a dark sweater with a very large "A" embroidered on the front. He is also wearing a tie and is holding a basketball.
