Dorthy Standifer Ludlum, wife of James Norton Ludlum, poses with James Standifer Ludlum, their 10 month-old son. Mrs. Ludlum is seated on a flower print ottoman. There is a toy dog also on the ottoman. James is standing with the help of his mother. He is wearing a dress and white shoes while standing in front of a fireplace. Mrs. Ludlum is wearing a dark-colored dress with a necklace. Both mother and son are smiling. Above the fireplace is a small mantel to which is attached a round piece of stained glass with a figure of a costumed man. Behind Mrs. Ludlum is a window with draperies and Venetian blinds.
