Description
Series of photos from Vice President John Nance Garner and Ettie Garner's visit to Fort Worth for the Frontier Centennial. Pictured here is John Nance Garner, leaning to get a better view of a performance at the Frontier Centennial. To the left of Garner is Billy Rose and to the left of Rose is Senator Sherman Minton of Indiana, who is applauding. The clipping reads "Here's photographic proof Vice President Garner was fascinated by the fast-moving performance of 'The Last Frontier,' one of the major attractions he and Mrs. Garner witnessed Thursday night at the Fort Worth Frontier Centennial. The Vice President was highly pleased with all of the show but was particularly impressed with 'The Last Frontier' because it depicted the Western life with which he always has been closely identified. Garner watched the show so intently he hardly relaxed for a moment."
