Description
Eagle Scouts of Troop 8 at Lena Pope Home, Fort Worth, photographed just before they left for the Summer camp at Worth Ranch, near Palo Pinto. From left are W. T. Freeman Jr., assistant scoutmaster and Eagle Scout with bronze palm; Orin Bunn, patrol leader; Marion Milsap, junior assistant scoutmaster; and Roy Lee Fielder, senior patrol leader. The clipping reads "The troop, two years old, is composed of 41 boys, including four life scouts, three sea scouts, nine with the star rank, and 12 first class scouts. The troop put on the Indian pageant in the recent scout circus. Camping last year at Edelbrock Farm near Bedford, these boys got the rock for building the girls' unit of the dormitory and a hospital at the Pope Home. The hospital has been completed and the work is well under way on the dormitory."
