Clipping reads "Buddies are these net stars from Waxahachie, Lynn Lasswell, Jr., left, and Stuart Lumpkins, who are competing in the first annual Fort Worth invitation tennis tournament now being staged at the Meadowmere Tennis Club and Capps Park. Lumpkins is the No. 1 man of Waxahachie, and survived the opening play in the invitation, while Lasswell was eliminated by Sidney Marks. Lumpkins and Lasswell form a strong doubles team." Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 28, 1935.
