The Vagabond Players were Fort Worth's first organized Little Theater group. In November 1921 their first performance was the comedy, "Suppressed Desires" by George Cram Cook and Susan Glaspel. This photograph features the actors left to right, Rosalind Gardner Shelley (1900-1973), Walker Moore, and Marguerite Kerr Hamilton (1899-1989). The founder of the Little Theater was Lotta Carter Gardner, Shelley's mother. The play was performed in the barn behind Gardner's home on Lipscomb Street. They performed in several other locations including the Fort Worth Woman's Club and the back porch of her home on Alston Avenue.
