    Description

Gifts to General Chairman of the 1924 API Convention. The upper images show the punch and flower bowl, the tray and goblets, and part of the silver service presented to Amon G. Carter, chairman of the committee in charge of arrangements and entertainment for the American Petroleum Institute convention held in Fort Worth December 8-11, 1924, on behalf of the board of directors of that organization. The image on the lower left shows the loving cup (which reads "Amon G. Carter, in appreciation of our delightful visit, Dec. 8 to 11, 1924, to Fort Worth") presented by brothers L. E., Frank, and Waite Phillips, and on the right is the large tray, also a part of the silver service given by the API directors.
