Description

Tarrant County Courthouse construction, members of Commissioners Court standing on roof; French Renaissance Revival designed by St. Louis firm Gunn and Curtis, constructed 1893. Copy photo of Mrs. R. G. Johnson's picture of the Tarrant County Courthouse during its construction 50 years ago. Her husband, then county judge, is the man standing fourth from the right on top of the courthouse. There is a structure in front of the courthouse that has long wooden planks, forming a pyramid shape. This construction is nearly the height of the building. There are men standing on top of the courthouse; seen behind them is the top of a crane. Others are working on building the stairs of the courthouse.
