Description
Electric Building and Big Tex, at the State Fair of Texas, Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. A crowd shot with Big Tex in the middle. Big Tex is seen wearing a traditional 60-foot-long Mexican sarape as part of the State Fair's theme for the year, which celebrated North American and South American cultures, and this particular outfit was chosen to represent Mexico Day. The building is also known as the Tower Building, constructed for the Texas Centennial Exposition as the Federal Building. A radio tower and the Cotton Bowl stadium are seen in the background.
