Aerial photograph showing Camp Pinkston, a YMCA camp for African American youth in Dallas County just south of Lancaster, Texas. An outdoor pool is visible in the photo. Camp Pinkston, operated by the Moorland YMCA in Dallas, Texas, opened in 1948, and served area children for over two decades. In 1954, it was named after Dr. L.G. Pinkston, a prominent local physician, who served as Chairman of the YMCA.
