Description
Allan Saxe, left, and Jim Norwood, right, celebrate the christening of Allan Saxe Parkway; the sign seen behind them is misspelled as "Allen Saxe Parkway." Allan Saxe, seen carrying a wilted bouquet of flowers, and Jim Norwood, right, celebrate the dedication of the road to the Arlington Sanitary Landfill, which was named "Allen Saxe Parkway" in Saxe's honor and was later changed to "Allan Saxe Parkway" to correct the misspelling. About 50 people, including council members, city staff, and friends, were in attendance of the dedication and celebrated with wilted flowers and champagne.
