Bob Schieffer Vietnam War Collection

 
Bob Schieffer was a reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram who became one of the first correspondents from a major Texas newspaper to be sent overseas to cover the Vietnam War in 1965. Schieffer interviewed and photographed soldiers from Fort Worth and Texas during their deployment. This collection is comprised of personal papers from Bob Schieffer, consisting of correspondence, notes, drafts of articles, ephemera, print photographs, and negatives relating to Schieffer's time as a war correspondent in the Vietnam War for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper from 1965-1966.
