Description
U.S. Marines aboard a "pig," which is Marine jargon for an amtrak, or the amphibious personnel carrier with tracked wheels that can move on land and sea. This was taken during Operation Double Eagle, a U.S. Marine Corps and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) operation that took place in southern Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam, during the Vietnam War. The Marine unit made a landing on a Vietnam beach then moved inland to seek out members of the Viet Cong.
