Photograph collection contains albumen and silver gelatin prints by several photographers located primarily in North Central Texas at the turn of the century up to 1945. The prints consist of portraits, family groups, school groups, and groups of friends mounted either on boards, on postcards, in folders, in a scrapbook, or in an album. Less than half of the prints are identified. Some of the identified locations are: Era, Rosston, and Myra in Cooke County; Sherman and Howe in Grayson County; Fort Worth in Tarrant County; Jamison in Liberty County; and Georgetown in Williamson County. Identified photographers were from towns in Cooke, Grayson, Wise, Denton, Tarrant, and Dallas counties. A few prints are included from studios in other states.
