This collection contains materials gathered for research on the history of theaters in Fort Worth, Texas. It is a collection created by Jan Jones for research on her two published works Billy Rose Presents-- Casa Mañana and Renegades and Showmen & Angels: A Theatrical History of Fort Worth, 1873-2001. The materials within the collection cover various individuals, theaters, and shows, and includes newspaper scans, personal notes, audio of interviews conducted by Jones and their transcripts, and printed materials, such as brochures and programs. The materials within the collection range in date from 1860-2014, with the earlier materials being largely newspaper scans and the later ones containing materials created by Jones during her research.
