The Charley R. Lockhart Campaign Materials are comprised of material related to Charley Lockhart's campaign to become the Texas State Treasurer in 1931. including a poster and two pieces of congratulatory correspondence. News clipping features an image of Charley Lockhart being sworn in as the Texas State Treasurer in 1921, and the scrapbook page features a piece from the Fort Worth Star Telegram: "A little man with a big job". This article, dated June 18, 1939, provides a photographic tour of Lockhart's daily schedule from his arrival at the Capitol to the closing of the vaults at the treasury. Also seen in this piece is Charley Lockhart's son, Charles, and his staff. The 1890 cabinet card shows Charley Lockhart as a young man prior to the start of his political career.
